Are you interested in studying in Japan? The government provides a variety of scholarships for overseas students, including the MEXT Award, which is a well-known scholarship for studying in the Land of the Rising Sun. However, applications are due in two days (April 29, 2022). This should not damper your enthusiasm or put an end to your plans to study in Japan because there are other scholarship alternatives accessible.
For many years, Japan has been a popular study destination, with 312,214 visa-holding international students enrolled in the country as of May 2019. When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, it, like many other nations, saw a dramatic drop in student enrollment.
International students opt to study in Japan for a variety of reasons. Many of its institutions are world-class, with five of them ranking among the top 100 universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2022. The country is also noted for its high hospitality standards, diverse fashion, and groundbreaking breakthroughs, such as technical developments in the automotive, robotics, and electrical industries.
Students are welcome to cross their boundaries as well. Foreign nationals, with the exception of tourists, were permitted to enter Japan after the country’s border restrictions were removed on March 1, 2022.
Japan’s daily admittance quota has also been raised, from 5,000 to 7,000 in March and then to 10,000 in April. This is wonderful news for overseas students interested in studying in Japan in the future.
