Scholarships for undergraduates
College of Fine Arts Scholarships at Boston University
Students who display exceptional artistic talent in an audition or portfolio assessment are awarded scholarships to the College of Fine Arts. For information on portfolio requirements and auditions, please visit the websites of the School of Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts.
All merit or artistic scholarships will be considered for applicants to the College of Fine Arts, with or without standardized test scores, if they apply before the December 1 Presidential Scholarship deadline.
American University is a public university in the United States Scholarship for Emerging Global Leaders
The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship is for high-achieving international students who want to study in the United States for a bachelor’s degree and are committed to good civic and social change. It is designed for students who will return home to help underserved and under-resourced areas in their home country.
All billable AU expenses are covered by the AU EGL scholarship (full tuition, room and board). Non-billable expenses such as mandatory health insurance, books, airline tickets, and miscellaneous expenses (approximately US$4,000) are not covered by the scholarship.
It is renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate education, provided that academic performance remains adequate.
Scholarships for International Students at Illinois Wesleyan University
International students applying to enter the first year of bachelor’s programmes at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) can apply for Merit-Based Scholarships, President’s Scholarships, and Need-Based Financial Aid. Students may be eligible for IWU-funded scholarships, loans, and campus job opportunities in addition to scholarships.
Merit-Based Scholarships range in value from $16,000 to $30,000 per year and can be renewed for up to four years. President’s Scholarships are full-tuition, renewable scholarships for up to four years of study.
Clark University is a private university located in Clark, Program for Global Scholars
The Global Scholars Program at Clark University is open to high school students who are not permanent residents or citizens of the United States, as well as US citizens/permanent residents who live abroad and will complete their secondary education outside of the United States.
The award includes a guaranteed US$2,500 taxable stipend for a paid internship or research assistantship taken for academic credit during the summer following the sophomore or junior year, as well as a scholarship of between US$5,000 and US$25,000 per year (subject to requirements).
Scholarships for International Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University
This private university, which has campuses in New Jersey and across the border in Vancouver, Canada, offers a variety of merit scholarships to overseas undergraduate students. Women who are citizens of the United States, permanent residents of the United States, or dual citizens of the United States and another nation are not eligible for the fellowship. They must also have achieved an academic degree (in the United States or overseas) equal to a US bachelor’s degree by November 15, 2021.
Stanford University’s Knight-Hennessy Scholars
The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program at Stanford University nurtures a diverse, multidisciplinary community of young leaders from all over the world, guiding them to collaborate, invent, and communicate as they prepare to confront society’s challenging challenges. International Education Award for Homer Higbee
This is an annual award given to one US student and one international student at Michigan State University who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of international understanding.
The Homer Higbee International Education Award was created to honor full-time degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students who exemplify the qualities that Homer Higbee embodied. These include making major contributions to Michigan State University’s promotion of worldwide awareness by participation in program that promote cross-cultural understanding on campus and in the community.
Scholars Siebel
The Siebel Scholars program has awarded US$45 million in awards to elite colleges such as Johns Hopkins, Wharton, Berkeley, Stanford, and many others over the previous 19 years. The program, which began in 2000, selects the brightest students from the world’s top business, computer science, bioengineering, and energy science graduate schools. Every year, over 90 exceptional students who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership potential are awarded a US$35,000 scholarship to help them finish their graduate studies.
